The co-founder and visionary Leader of IDX Design Communication, Emmanuel Amar possesses an illustrious career spanning over three decades. Renowned for his inquisitive approach to understanding his clients' businesses, his servant-style leadership, commitment to continuous learning, and coaching, Mr. Amar holds a specialized bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, a certificate in advertising, and possesses 35 years of dedicated study in the field of human potential and well-being.

Commencing his professional journey in 1990, Emmanuel immersed himself in event production and coordination, concurrently delving into commercial interior design during his inaugural year of design school. This early integration of education and practical experience enabled him to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges right from the outset. The inception of IDX occurred in his second year, initiated by mandates for window merchandising for local optometrists as well as dance club designs. Notably, the firm garnered its first industry awards upon graduation for the design of a new chain of natural health stores.

In collaboration with his partner, Billy Tran, Emmanuel drew inspiration from Japanese and Scandinavian design principles, emphasizing simplicity, openness, flexibility, the use of natural materials, functional beauty, harmony, and a commitment to human health and potential. IDX has consistently sought to ensure that their projects align with people's core potential, evolution, and well-being by prioritizing the genuine needs and experiences of project staff and clients.

Billy Tran's father, an accomplished cabinet maker and artist, served as an early mentor and partner, contributing to the development of intelligent, efficient, and durable work. The success of their retail projects propelled them from working with single-location retailers to national and international accounts such as Levis', Tristan, BCBG, Structube, The Gap, Fruits&Passion, and AVON.

Embracing the belief that design inherently serves market and acknowledging that design is communication, IDX integrated branding, marketing, and positioning services into their repertoire, creating a more cohesive and compelling client experience. This strategic approach facilitated their clients' transition towards adopting digital and omni-channel commercial strategies.

In response to the evolving landscape of retail, IDX was invited to extend support to their retail clients in diverse ventures, including office spaces, factories, warehouses, commercial properties, and residential real estate projects. Many of these clients were community leaders actively engaged in philanthropic endeavors, leading IDX to cultivate expertise in sanctuaries and community architecture and design.

As a devoted husband, father, perpetual learner focused on well-being, entrepreneurship, and the transformative potential of commercial enterprise, Emmanuel Amar derives joy and purpose from guiding his family, team, clients, design students, and communities toward true health and prosperity. His emphasis on the search for essence and genuine service underscores his commitment to fostering personal, professional, and community growth in contemporary times.
