Bash Pizza, Brooklyn, NY
Client: Bash Pizza
Year: 2020
Scope: Concept to Opening
Description of Project:
Famed Miami multi-brand restaurateurs were invited to create a new artisanal fast-casual pizza chain in collaboration with NY real estate developers. Through close coordination with chefs, real estate developers, and culinary suppliers, IDX helped position, brand, design, and build the pilot restaurant concept in Brooklyn, NYC.
The services encompassed core brand strategy, positioning, identity system design, interior design, kitchen design, technical specification, construction drawings, food safety study, buidling compliance and construction support
Project Vision
The pilot concept designed seamlessly blended into both business and residential districts, ensuring a versatile experience catering to daytime express needs and family-friendly evenings and weekends. Careful planning created parallel customer flows for order, delivery, express eats, and family dynamics, preventing any customer frustration from the negative impact on one another.
In a competitive pizza landscape, the modern, eclectic, workshop-chic ambiance fostered familiarity, freshness, authenticity, and craftsmanship. The urban kitchen-atelier concept came to life through industrial textured glass, warehouse lighting, exposed hot-roll steel structural elements, and Mediterranean-inspired tiles and patterns.
The identity system, resembling melted cheese and bread, tied brand assets to the essence of the food. The dynamic font system, craft paper, orange and black palettes, and vintage stamp-like application aimed to evoke excitement, accessibility, and authenticity, marking a pioneering venture in its category.
Exceeding projections, patrons continue to express enthusiasm about the space and the delightful culinary experience it offers.
