Description of Project:
Bouclair Inc. is a Canadian lifestyle brand specializing in home fashion and decor. With a diverse product range, including furniture, window coverings, bedding, and lighting, Bouclair operates 55 stores across Canada and serves customers online. Established in 1970 as a fabric and sewing business, the company evolved and expanded into a complete lifestyle and home decor concept. From bigbox stores to a November 2021, flagship store in Montreal's Griffintown, Bouclair remains an accessible and community hub for decor inspiration, transforming homes across Canada.
Project Vision
As retail is re-invention, IDX collaborates with internal design and construction teams to shape dynamic home decor shopping experiences.
The Bouclair big-box store strategy was designed to prioritize speed and shopability, ensuring customers swiftly fulfill their needs with a sense of efficiency. Success lies in the customer's ability to declare, "I found what I need." Conversely, the hip street store experience unfolds as a lifestyle journey, immersing clients in a space that reflects and defines their identity—a sentiment akin to, "I am discovering who I am."
What sets the Bouclair store design apart is its ability to not only help customers define themselves but also guide them efficiently to discover what they need. This is achieved through powerful merchandising tools, calculated lighting use, thoughtfully crafted color stories, and strategic organizational structures that simplify the buying decision-making process for customers.
